Hearty Welcome
to the Web-site of
the Capuchin Friars of St. Joseph Province,
Kerala, India
My dear brothers and sisters,
May the Good Lord bless you with peace and happiness.
St. Francis (1182-1226), the little man of Assisi, profoundly influenced the world through his message of peace, his concern for the poor and marginalized, and his love for the entire creation; above all through his radical discipleship of the poor, humble, crucified Christ.
The Capuchin Order began as a result of a reform of the Franciscan Order in the 16th century and within a century the Capuchin missionaries began their service in India. St. Joseph’s Province is the southernmost province in India having missions in North India and abroad. In the troubled times of today we try to inspire people with the good news of God’s love and compassion.
You are welcome to share your views with us and let us join hands in this noble venture.
Fraternally,
Br. Mathew Paikada OFM Cap
Provincial Minister
